Easy PCB Mounting of almost any configuration of LEDs

16 Feb 2000 Opto-Electronics

Khatod Eurotroniks, locally distributed by Retron, has developed an extensive range of mechanics that snap together to facilitate the easy PCB mounting of LEDs. There are many options featuring different configurations and orientations.

*The KSM 38 range allows the LEDs to be mounted with a selection of degrees of protrusion – including one for backlighting applications.

*The KML 20 range is available in different widths and two orientations to allow mounting from two to ten LEDs, tightly packed, in a vertical or 90° orientation. Suitable LEDs are available in five colours with light outputs up to 120 mcd.

*The K 18052 allows LEDs of 5 x 2,5 mm rectangular section to be mounted with their 5mm faces in contact. LEDs are available in five colours with outputs of up to 3500 mcd. The K 18052 can be supplied as a single item, or as a snap together item to enable an array of any combination to be assembled. Custom 2 x 5 mm and 5 x 5 mm versions are also available.

*The KTP series allows the compact, right-angled mounting of three stacked LEDs. These are available in snap-together form to make up arrays of LEDs. Any combination of the available colours, with outputs ranging from 10 to 5000 mdc, is available.

*Khatod offers an arrangement that allows for mounting LEDs when using terminal blocks. Any number of LEDs can easily be mounted side by side, over the terminal blocks.

*Upright mounting of seven segment LED displays is made simple with Khatod's 90° socket. The KZD 10 socket is narrow enough to allow displays to be mounted next to each other, making multiple-digit displays.

*Series K550-K556 is a 90°, 5 mm LED package – 6 x 6 x 5,6 mm.
