The Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum (ECTF) has specified the implementation of the Compact PCI computer telephony bus with the H.110 standard that allows the design of computer telephony hardware for PCI and CompactPCI platforms. Erni offers 2,0 mm connectors according to the IEC 1076-4-101 of ERmet series that satisfy the high contact density, superior RF characteristics and the shielding and coding capabilities of the CompactPCI standard.
For a typical CompactPCI computer telephony system (6HE), the PICMG has defined the connector position J4/J5 on the plug-in card and P4/P5 on the backplane for the telecom requirements.
The connector fulfills safety requirements according to IEC 950 or special requirements of the H.110 bus. The design criteria are the insulation of the 48 V d.c. systems voltage telephony networking voltage (TNV) from the safety extra low voltages (SELVA) and different mating levels for hot swap.
The shielded female connectors on the J4 position have a partially loaded contact matrix and a split shield. The male connectors on the P4 position also have a partially loaded contact matrix.
