The AD8016 is a dual high-speed, high-output-current amplifier, optimised for ±12 V power supplies and equipped for flexible 'standby/shutdown' operation. This Analog Devices part delivers low-distortion 20 V peak-to-peak outputs and drives a minimum of 400 mA into low-impedance loads. The high output-voltage and current drive is designed to deliver maximum power to the twisted-pair telephone line while minimising the power consumption which is critical for xDSL Central Office (CO) cabinets.
The AD8016ARP is optimised to provide low-distortion line driving for DSL CO and the AD8016ARB for high-end customer premises equipment (CPE) ADSL, G.Lite, HDSL2 and other xDSL modems. SFDR is high (77 dB at 1 MHz), output voltage is to within 1 V of the supply rails for 100 W loads and quiescent current per amplifier is 12,5 mA.
Packaging is in 20-lead PSOP3 and 24-lead SOIC, operating temperature is -40 to +85°C.
