Micro IDC system

14 August 2002 Interconnection

Samtec's micro IDC system with contacts on 1,27 x 1,27 mm pitch (FFSD Series) is available in double row designs. This cable assembly measures only 5 mm tall fully assembled for the lowest possible profile. It features four-finger beryllium copper contacts with from 10 to 25 positions per row. Notch polarisation is standard. A mating through-hole or surface-mount terminal strip (FTS Series) provides a 6,35 mm mated height above the board.

An IDC system with contacts on 2 x 2 mm pitch is also available from Samtec. The double row plug (TCMD Series) features 0,50 mm square phosphor bronze pins with 2 to 25 positions per row. Notch and position polarisation are available as standard options. These cable assemblies measure only 5 mm fully assembled for the lowest possible profile. They will mate with a number of Samtec through-hole and surface-mount socket strips.

Samtec's proven 2 mm socket IDC assemblies (TCSD Series) with Tiger-Eye contacts are available in single-end, double-end and transfer-end designs with a socket on one end and a terminal on the other.
