Crimp connector makes reliable cable-to-cable termination

14 August 2002 Interconnection

The latest in Harwin's Datamate range of connectors ensures military standard reliability for cable-to-cable termination. The 2 mm pitch male crimp connector complements the existing female variant and offers either a locking or friction latch for additional strain relief.

Available though TTI, initially provided in dual row format, the M80 connector series features the choice of small and large bore crimp barrels, with a per circuit rating of 3 A at an operating temperature of 25°C. Designed on a proven contact technology, the male crimp connector assures no loss data signal transmission.

Part-numbered in DIL sizes between 4 and 34-way, the connector's Nylon 46 housing and rear insertable contacts, allow for fast and simple assembly and replacement.

The fully shrouded crimp contacts are gold-plated as standard, with tin finish also available to order. Connector overmoulding is a further option, aiding engagement/disengagement and further boosting strain relief.
