Samtec has introduced micro-rugged interfaces that feature high reliability, high cycle and high retention contacts. Shrouded and keyed insulators with positive retention features and PCB terminations including press fit, solder locks and mechanical hold-down options are ideal for high reliability micro applications including board-to-board, power, high speed cable, micro card and flex circuits.
Board-to-board systems are available on 1,27, 2 and 2,54 mm pitch and feature Samtec Tiger Eye and Tiger Buy contacts. One-piece interfaces eliminate bent pins and have rugged screw mount terminations to the board.
Micro Card interfaces for 0,8 and 1,60 mm boards have terminations on 0,8 and 1 mm pitch. High speed edge-mount, mini-edge card and micro bay card systems are available.
Standard and high speed IDC cable systems are available on 1,27, 2 and 2,54 mm pitch with mating polarised and shrouded ejector headers. Flex cable systems mate with micro-rugged one-piece interfaces mini-edge card sockets.
Shrouded and keyed power systems provide blind positive mating and retention with a variety of pinout options.
