Connector increases cable retention

Incorporating a cable lock option, the 62674 series of 0,5 mm pitch vertical connectors from FCI provides a high cable retention force for flexible printed circuits.
Preheld by the connector's compact slider mechanism, cables are easily mated in a zero insertion force operation that ensures a reliable and stable connection. The cable lock option provides cable strain relief and prevents unintentional cable release in applications susceptible to vibration.
With the need to integrate additional features into increasingly compact product designs, the small pitch and 2,95 mm height profile of this straight cable entry surface mount connector offers a significant space saving advantage. The connector is available with 12, 20, 24, 25, 30 or 33 phosphor bronze, tin alloy plated contacts, with different pin counts available on request. The 62674's gas-tight, high pressure contact system also means it offers a low-cost solution with the reliability of gold-plated solutions.
