90° shock-proof locating pin LED holders

9 October 2002 Opto-Electronics

BivarOpto has introduced a series of locating pin holders for single, bi-level and tri-level LED display applications. Made from black 94-VO rated nylon material, the H-LP Series holders provide extra PCB retention and uniform elevation during processing and handling, making them ideally suited for high-shock and vibration environments.

LEDs are perfectly aligned on equally spaced centres and rigidity is achieved via the unit's bifurcated locating pin, which holds them firmly in place. Narrow widths from 4,32 mm and rigid retention allow virtual side-by-side placement, saving valuable board space for station arrays. The new holders accommodate virtually any type of T-1 (3 mm) LED, including RGB, white, purple, UV, and industry-standard colours, while the single level H-180C-LP series accommodates tri-lead T-1 (3 mm) LEDs for more sophisticated messaging applications.
