Low profile press-fit ribbon connector

Amphenol has introduced a new member to its FCC57 series Micro Ribbon family - the 50 position, receptacle, low profile with press-fit contacts.
Press-fit termination allows the micro ribbon connector to be terminated to the PCB without the use of solder. Not only does this style of connector eliminate additional costs associated with soldering, the press-fit termination also offers a lead-free solution which addresses the growing environmental issues.
This connector is available in the vertical mount termination with full or partial shielding and the option of a ground spring. It also includes a plastic cover that not only serves as a dust cover but as a surface to be used for flat rock insertion into the PCB.
