Waterproof Ethernet connector system for industrial systems

With Ethernet networks now extending from the office onto the factory floor and beyond into external environments, there is a need for a more robust and reliable connection for data applications. RJ45, the industry standard connector for Ethernet networks, is delicate when compared to the more physical demands of industrial or external environments. Water, dust, oil and chemicals are all hazards, as are the potential for connector and cable abuse in a rough working environment.
To meet these demands Bulgin's Ethernet connector system is based upon the tried and tested Standard Buccaneer waterproof power connector, combined with industry standard RJ45 connectors, to provide a secure and robust connection for Ethernet based networks running up to 100 MHz.
Dust and waterproof to IP68, the Ethernet Buccaneer has a shroud to protect the RJ45 plug from accidental abuse during handling.
The system is Cat 5e compliant with data rates up to 100 Mbps.
