Waterproof connectors now available with coloured inserts

Bulgin's range of Buccaneer waterproof connectors are now available with coloured contact inserts for easy identification, enhancing the usefulness of these connectors. This is particularly valuable where it is critical to identify the correct connector, for a number of reasons; ease of maintenance, assembly during production or to limit the potential for accidental cross-connection by the end user.
With an otherwise black connector the coloured contact insert and matching cable gland nut give a quick and easy method of identification, whether the connectors are mated or unmated. On a panel containing a number of similar connectors this can be invaluable. Black, blue, green, grey, light grey, red, white and yellow are available.
The specification of the Standard Buccaneer connector itself remains unchanged. Dust and waterproof to IP68, with a choice of 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 25 poles, the connectors are rated from 10 A, 250 V a.c., to 1 A, 50 V a.c. Five body styles provide a wide choice of configurations, each available with either plug or socket contacts. Overall diameter is 38 mm and the connectors carry approvals from UL, CSA and VDE.
