Maxim's MAX6672/MAX6673, single-wire PWM output sensors with a 60 µA (typ) current consumption are available in tiny 5-pin SC70 packages. These temperature sensors are perfect for industrial, HVAC, process control, and environmental monitoring applications. The devices encode temperature data in the PWM output waveform, providing a nominal accuracy of 1°C over a single wire that easily interfaces with a microprocessor or microcontroller I/O port. The MAX6672 provides an open-drain output and the MAX6673 provides a push-pull output. Both devices have a nominal output frequency of 1,4 kHz. The sensors operate from a 2,4 to 5,5 V supply and the operating temperature range is from -55 to +150°C.
