Molex Premise Networks has launched a new Category 6 DataGate surface mount data outlet complete with cable management features developed exclusively for the South African market. The surface-mounted box is supplied unloaded and is designed to accommodate the DataGate jack range of RJ45 connectors. The jack features an integral shutter and protects against ingress of contaminants to prevent degradation in quality of the jack-to-patch lead connection.
Manufactured in a rugged white Polycarbonate/ABS plastic, the Molex Premise Networks DataGate contains unique cable management features, allowing the correct bend radius for Category 6 cable to be easily maintained, avoiding the pitfalls of other Category 6 products. Its unobtrusive shape gives the product versatility in the installed location whilst providing a fully Category 6 compliant connection.
The unshielded twisted pair (UTP) DataGate jack is available in several colour options and is dual colour coded for 568A/B wiring configurations. The 1 Port Surface Mount box is available in Category 5e UTP and foil screened twisted pair (FTP) and Category 6 UTP variant, giving the choice of all performance levels required in structured cabling systems.
Termination is achieved with Molex Premise Networks and other industry standard termination tools and has the option of a punch-down terminating puck.
