Norwe's vertical ETD series coilformers has been enlarged with a more user-friendly terminal type. Due to integration of side-wrapping pins the total height is reduced by 3 mm. The pins have a separate wrap area where wrapping and soldering is possible without any problem.
The pin-side for contact to the PCB, however, remains unaffected and free of tin. The special features of the ETD series such as automatic winding on NC winding machines, stand-offs to the PCB thus reducing solder problems and additional fixing to the PCB with self-tapping screws are maintained.
