Microchip's PIC18FXX39 PICmicro Flash microcontrollers feature a sophisticated single-phase motor control peripheral. The single-phase (open loop) motor control kernel uses standard application programming interfaces and on-chip pulse-width modulation to simplify motor control integration. The PIC18FXX39 devices use programmable motor processor technology (ProMPT) to provide modulated output over a range of 0 to 127 Hz and have a pre-defined variable frequency curve that can be programmed to suit the application.
Devices feature two 10-bit PWMs, 256 bytes of on-board, high endurance data EEPROM and achieve up to 10 MIPS at 40 MHz. The microcontrollers also feature three all-purpose 16-bit timers, an A/D converter with up to eight channels at 10-bit resolution, an addressable USART module supporting RS485 and RS232, a programmable 16-level low-voltage detection module (PLVD) and a wide operating voltage range of 2,0-5,5 V. They are also pin- and code-compatible with Microchip's current 28- and 40-pin portfolio.
Featuring in-circuit serial programming, the PICmicro Flash devices can be programmed after being placed in a circuit board and can be programmed in-circuit at the user's operating voltage.
The PIC18FXX39 devices are available in 28-pin SOIC, SDIP, 40-pin PDIP, and 44-lead TQFP and QFN.
