This MEMS-based barometric pressure sensor has been specifically designed to support height and pressure measurement in drones, smartphones, pedometers and other battery powered mobile systems. Omron’s 2SMPB-02E provides stable and reliable height and pressure measurements, allowing changes in elevation of as little as 2 m to be reliably recorded.
This sensor has been specifically remodelled for mobile applications and been miniaturised to just 2,0 x 2,5 x 0,85 mm in size. An integrated temperature compensation circuit helps ensure accurate absolute pressure measurements. The 2SMPB-02E is also configured to measure the pressure of air between 30 kPa and 110 kPa. The sensor has a pin layout that is compatible with alternative solutions on the market, simplifying integration.
