The SCM3406A is a half-duplex enhanced transceiver designed for RS-485 data bus networks. Powered by a 3 V DC to 5,5 V DC supply, the Mornsun SCM3406A is fully compliant with the TIA/EIA-485A standard and is suitable for data transmission up to 10 Mbps.
The receivers have a high input impedance of 96 kΩ, which places only 1/8 of the standard load on a shared bus containing up to 256 nodes. They also include driver output over-current protection and an enhanced ESD design where the ESD protection level can be up to 15 kV (human body model).
These half-duplex transceivers are suitable for applications in industrial automation, building automation, smart electricity metering and remote signal interaction and transmission.
