The WiBear 11ac from Lesswire, besides supporting the 5th generation WLAN standard, IEEE 802.11ac, also features Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy and 2.1 + EDR connectivity as well as near-field-communication (NFC) in a single module. It provides the necessary bandwidth for implementing video streaming applications in vehicles. As a dual frequency module, the WiBear 11ac also makes it possible to use the 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously for communications. With Bluetooth 4.0 LE and NFC, consumer devices, such as smartphones or tablets, can connect more easily with the vehicle, while the NFC interface enables access to vehicle and convenience functions such as loading personalised pre-settings for the driver’s seat.
