iCORP supports Sigfox through WiSoL modules

14 June 2017 News

To complement its portfolio of IoT and M2M solutions, iCORP Group has signed a distribution agreement with WiSoL to distribute its range of low-cost Sigfox modules and combo modules.

WiSoL is a Korea-based company engaged in the design and manufacture of RF components and Sigfox modules. It forms part of the Sigfox partner network and all of its modules in mass production have been approved on the Squidnet Network. Two of WiSoL’s primary modules are the WSSFM10R1 and the WSSFM20R1.

The WSSFM10R1 is a Sigfox-only module is a miniaturised 13,0 x 15,0 x 2,21 mm form factor for Zone1. The module has an integrated microcontroller as well as an integrated RF transceiver, and supports a UART for external communication. A TCXO (temperature controlled crystal oscillator) is used on the module to maintain the frequency tolerance for operational bands throughout the product’s life. Samples of this module are available upon request.

The WSSFM20 series is a Sigfox quad-mode module with Sigfox, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth low energy, GPS and accelerometer functionality provided for user applications. Each connectivity engine acts as a standalone module and the main host processor – an ARM Cortex-M4 – controls each module through an API integrated via a user friendly SDK.
