Poynting Antennas recently released two new omni-directional antennas developed for 2,4-2,5 GHz wireless LAN applications.
The company developed two rugged vertically polarised omni-directional antennas as part of its range of wireless communication antennas. These antennas cover the 2400-2500 MHz band that is used for wireless networks and wireless Internet service providers. Being co-linear, the antennas are ideal for the high site in point-to-multipoint applications. They come with a rugged bracket for mounting on top of a pole. Both antennas can be ceiling-mounted as well.
The first omni has a gain of 4 dBi with a VSWR of less than 1,5 over the band. The second antenna has a gain of 7 dBi with a similar VSWR. Both are supplied with a N-type female connector as standard, but other options are available on request. The antennas are waterproof and easy to install.
