Wearnes Cambion has released three new series of RFID Transponder coils to satisfy the requirements of this new technology. The RFID market typically encompasses frequency ranges from 52 kHz to 47 GHz, with the lower frequencies being particularly popular where power generation is required.
The three ranges, one a rugged over-moulded surface mount package, the others in axial through-hole format (moulded or sleeved), are targeted to frequencies between 100 and 150 kHz. The potential applications are almost infinite, and include warehousing, animal tagging, asset tagging, production line work flow, etc.
Wearnes Cambion has also invested heavily in manufacturing capability of reader coils, the other half of the RFID equation. These are invariably custom, but typically range in size from 10 mm diameter to 200 mm2. For technical information contact the local distributor.
