Wide dynamic range DTMF receivers

Zarlink Semiconductor, the first to pioneer serial DTMF stream decoding and internal AGC has now broadened its range of wide dynamic range DTMF receivers. The new range of products use the lower cost and commonly available 'colour burst' oscillator (3,579 MHz). This family of products will enable customers to decrease its overall BOM costs, making them more competitive.

The DTMF receiver family use on chip Automatic Gain control, hence no external components are required. This family of products is ideally suited for the telephone answering machine, fax machines and any application requiring end-to-end signalling such as security systems.

Offered in a variety of packaging options, the wide dynamic range (50 dB) DTMF receivers are: ZL49010 - with early DTMF tone detection and power down mode; ZL49011 - with delayed DTMF tone detection and power down mode; ZL49020 - with early DTMF tone detection; ZL49021 - with delayed DTMF tone detection; ZL49030 - with early DTMF tone detection and power down mode; ZL49031 - with delayed DTMF tone detection and power down mode.
