Sagem designs and manufactures a range of modules, modems and devices for wireless communications. Its MO130 solution for example, allows mobile phone manufacturers to focus on design and marketing, since it already contains all the built-in software necessary to provide the latest functionalities required, such as: 4+1 GPRS, EMS, and Easy Message etc.
Data and Data & Voice modules
Sagems' MO170/MO190 data-oriented modules/data and voice modules are quick and easy solutions that allow designers and developers to easily create high speed GPRS wireless data devices. Examples are modems, PCMCIA cards, wireless PC, etc.
A full set of AT commands is available to help developers get the most from the wireless world. The enhanced-feature version (MO190) also includes tools to assist with design of smartphones or wireless PDAs. Because these are very small and flexible devices, MO170/MO190 solutions can be integrated in many types of products.
Modem version
With Sagem's MOD170/MOD190 modems, wireless features can be added to devices. The MOD170/MOD190 modems constitute a self-contained, fully integrated implementation of the GSM/GPRS standard. Thanks to standard interfaces, they can be integrated into any system which offers unlimited advantages. For example, security systems, telemetry, tracking systems and vending machines will be able to quickly enter the wireless world, helping to create a range of new services.
Additionally, an end-user package can allow the MOD170/MOD190 to be connected to a PC and facilitate browsing of the Internet while mobile.
* General features for MOD170/190: triple-band EGSM 900/DCS 1800/PCS 1900; GPRS class 8 (4+1) with PBCCH; voice and data support; small and lightweight at 35 g, 60 x 40 x 10 mm; MMCX antenna connector; 60-pin connector including RS232 serial link; remote control by AT commands; fully shielded and ready-to-use.
