Advantech is offering a full-featured, flexible 15" Panel PC that it says combines high-performance with industrial reliability and good looks in an ultra-slim design. The company's PPC-S154T comes with an Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M CPU with SpeedStep technology up to 2,2 GHz and system memory up to 1 GB DDR SDRAM to provide plenty of power for demanding POI (point of information), kiosks and multimedia applications.
Built with a 15" XGA true colour LCD screen, the slim profile is only 375 x 299 and is 49 mm deep. The VESA-compliant mount allows for flexible installation configurations which occupies much less space than traditional panel PCs.
The PPC-S154T has a wealth of advanced networking and expansion capabilities, having four USB v2.0 ports, two serial ports, one VGA and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller as standard. The built-in Type lll Mini PCI socket can offer connections with a Mini PCI 56 K modem, second Ethernet, wireless LAN card or Firewire IEEE 1394 to enhance networking capability. PPC-S154T also has an internal CompactFlash Type ll socket for solid-state disk storage and IrDA SIR1.0 for infrared wireless transmission.
