Complementing the JPS250 single output range, the JPS250 Quad from XP is a versatile four-output power supply in a rugged U-channel chassis that is designed for space-sensitive applications or where insufficient system air is available and a conduction cooled rating is required. At 38 mm high it fits into a standard 1U rack and delivers 250 W at up to 50°C ambient with only 18 CFM of cooling or 200 W with convection cooling. The chassis is 203 mm long and 107 mm wide.
The JPS250 series uses zero voltage switching technology to achieve up to 90% efficiency and low noise and ripple of ±1% maximum peak-to-peak. The high efficiency means less heat generation and improved MTBF at 255 000 hours to MIL-HDBK-217F.
There are four models in the quad range with output voltages from 3,3/5/±12 V, including high current outputs on both V1 and V2, ±5/±12 V, 5/±12/24 V to 5/±15/24 V. The power supplies accept input voltages from 85 to 264 V a.c. with active power factor correction to EN61000-3-2,-3 standards. All have international safety approvals and meet Class B conducted EMI requirements.
Other features include a separate fan output, remote sensing, remote on/off, ±10% output voltage adjustment on V1, over-temperature, overvoltage and overcurrent protection. Line regulation is ±0,5% and load regulation is ±1% for V1 and V2, ±5% for V3 and V4. AC OK and DC OK signals are provided and active current sharing and fan covers are available as options.
