Micro Linear offers four new free reference design databases, that have been pre-scanned and optimised to comply with FCC part 15.247 and 15.109. These reference designs have been created to support and expedite the design-in of its transceiver ICs. According to the company, they achieve a very low BOM cost by utilising two-layer FR4 and low cost components.
The complete design database includes gerbers, schematics, BOM, and spectral testing reports. This allows the customer to modify the design for application specific requirements and to optimise it for their high volume manufacturing partners. The databases are available to the customer through the distributor or as ZIP file Internet download from www.microlinear.com.
Hardware samples of the reference designs are available for purchase and are shipped with a CD containing the design databases. The reference design samples can be easily evaluated using the Micro Linear Starter Kit and application notes are available to further ease design-in integration efforts.
