Hittite Microwave offers a new 10 W GaAs PHEMT transmit/receive MMIC switch for infrastructure and handheld/portable applications. The HMC484MS8G is a SPDT switch for use in Tx/Rx applications from DC to 3 GHz, where very low distortion of over +70 dBm IIP3 is required at input signal levels as high as 10 W (+40 dBm). It provides 0,5 dB insertion loss, 30 dB of isolation and can operate from +3 to +10 V, depending on the power handling requirements of the application. The device is packaged in a robust, yet ultra small MSOP8G 8 lead SMT package occupying 14,9 mm². It replaces complicated PIN diode switch assemblies with a smaller PCB footprint.
