Falcom has developed a unique concept with Navi-B, its Bluetooth-enabled GPS receiver. The Navi-B combines low power highly sensitive GPS technology with an embedded Bluetooth (class 2) transceiver. The device concept is specifically for fixed in-vehicle installation.
The integrated power supply circuitry allows an 8-32 V d.c. input to be connected directly to the power system in vehicles or other industrial equipment. The Navi-B is an ideal solution for navigation, tracking and security applications where fixed and/or covered installation of the GPS receiver is required. Using the Bluetooth serial port profile the Navi-B delivers standard GPS NMEA protocols to Bluetooth-enabled devices such as PDAs, smart phone, laptops and others.
The standard software interface can be used with standard or customised mapping and navigation software packages.
