Access Points for industrial application

ArTem has launched a range of Access Points that fulfil the requirements for safety classes IP20, IP40, and IP65. To be shown at CeBIT 2004, these Access Points, the ArTem ComPoint Industrial Series, can be used at operating temperatures of -20 to +70°C. They can be used to implement WLAN infrastructures in almost any conceivable indoor and outdoor environment.
A further highlight of the ComPoint Industrial series is the fact that they can also be operated as access clients or access routers by means of a firmware upgrade. In the client operation mode, the user is provided with several Ethernet or serial interfaces, - according to the model - which permit universal application. The ComPoint Industrial can thus be used, for instance, to integrate CNC or SPS machines, on which no drivers must or can be installed, into the LAN in wireless mode.
Further application scenarios are, for example, mobile process control systems, the connection of driverless transport systems to the LAN, or video monitoring in extreme environments.
