Dual channel SiGe 5 GHz gain blocks

6 October 2004 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT News & Events Security Services & Risk Management

Two new SiGe HBT dual channel gain block MMIC SMT amplifiers, which are designed for wireless infrastructure/handhelds, test equipment, microwave radio and military COTS applications from DC to 5 GHz have been released by Hittite Microwave.

The HMC469MS8G contains two gain blocks, each delivering 15 dB gain, +18 dBm output P1dB, and +34 dBm output IP3 at 1 GHz. Each of the two gain blocks contained in the HMC471MS8G delivers 20 dB gain, +20 dBm output P1dB, and +34 dBm output IP3 at 1 GHz. These products are ideal for use as cascadeable 50 Ω RF/IF gain stages, PA drivers, or for LO distribution in a compact footprint.

The two amplifiers in each HMC469MS8G and HMC471MS8G may be combined using external 90° or 180° hybrids to create a high linearity driver. Each product's combined dual amplifier circuit delivers 2 to 3 dB higher output power and output IP3 for specific application bands through 4 GHz.
