Advantech's UNO-3062, a Pentium III grade, front-access fanless PC which comes with two PCI extensions, features a rugged design offering dual power inputs and battery backup SRAM. Different from general industrial PCs, the UNO-3062 is claimed to be more compact and reliable.
The UNO-3062 is an open platform with all connections located on the front panel. This makes wiring and maintenance significantly simpler. It is compact (140Wx 177H x 237D mm), which means installation in a control cabinet is simplified. Equipped with enhanced expandability, the two PCI slots can be used for any PCI formfactor card. Advantech has a large selection of PC-based automation products available in PCI formfactor, including cards for: data acquisition and I/O control, motion control, GPIB, and industrial communication.
Engineered to be used as the controller of industrial processes, the UNO-3062 has many reliability features. Designed without cooling fans, the aluminium chassis acts as a heatsink. The operating temperature can be as high as 50°C. Being hard disk-free, the UNO-3062 boasts superior anti-shock (50 g) and anti-vibration (2 g rms w/CompactFlash) properties. The 512 KB of battery backed SRAM ensures safe storage of critical data. It supports dual individual power inputs (16- 36 V d.c.), and will switch to another power input if one fails.
