Z-Communications' CRO2660A, a low-cost coaxial resonator VCO geared for the fixed wireless market, is intended for use in point-to-multipoint radio systems. The CRO2660A oscillates at 2600 MHz in 0,5 to 4,5 V d.c. of tuning and delivers a clean spectral signal of -96 and -116 dBc/Hz at 1 and 10 KHz offsets, respectively.
The CRO2660A is designed to operate off a 5 V d.c. supply while drawing 19 mA of current and provides the end-user 3 ±2 dBm of output power into a 50 Ω load and over the temperature range of -20 to 70°C. This low-noise, rugged VCO features coaxial resonator technology, which minimises the effects of microphonics, says the company. The CRO2660A suppresses the second harmonic to better than -15 dBc. It pushes less than 0,5 MHz within 5% of the nominal supply voltage and pulls less than 0,5 MHz with a 14 dB return loss, any phase.
