According to AeroComm its new 900 MHz AC4790 transceivers ease networking effort for a wide variety of industrial control applications. With true peer-to-peer technology embedded into the AC4790s, they remove the server from an RF communication system, facilitating fully expandable mesh networking. By using a dynamic addressing scheme, the AC4790's protocol supports independent communication between any two in-range transceivers in an RF network. Each transceiver 'node' knows exactly which other nodes are within talking distance, as well as the signal strength of each one. The designer is thus able to design routing sequences that optimise the network without bogging down system performance. The AC4790s feature an industry-leading 25 ms sync time and 'SenseAdjust' - a software-controlled RF desensitiser that wards off interference. They use FHSS technology, employ data-encryption standards and support transmit-power levels of up to one watt.
