The 'Automationworx for Remote Systems' (ReSy) function modules library from Phoenix Contact is designed for tasks that arise in modern remote control systems. It enables the user to set up local substations and remote control centres using standard hardware components, eg, from the company's inline I/O system.
Data transfer between the substations and the control centre takes place via wired systems such as dedicated lines, analog or digital dial-up links, and wireless services via radio and mobile communications. Connection to existing systems is made possible through a variety of open interfaces for the standard Interbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, and CANopen fieldbus systems via serial interfaces as well as directly via Ethernet.
The ReSy technological modules enable the user to quickly and easily set up different lines of remote control. They are available for public networks with an analog modem or ISDN interface and for private networks, GSM networks, SMS and radio connections.
In addition to the remote control capabilities, the control hardware's open configurability and IEC 61131 conforming programming offers the possibility of adopting control functions into central stations or substations.
