The AQ5101 module developed by CeeSat is a complete GPS solution comprising a LNA, receiver and base-band decoder (ARM-cored) on a small profile PCB. It requires an antenna (patch and active) with an RS232 serial connector to the customer's application - with battery charger for data retention.
The CeeSat AQ5101 module provides two 3 V, (5 V TTL-input compatible), serial ports and easy-to-use boot time configuration pins. The combination of small footprint, low power consumption and cost effective architecture, (no Flash ROM), makes it suitable for OEM volume applications.
The module uses the innovative Atmel ANTARIS 16 channel GPS receiver chipset and provides first class navigation performance under all dynamic conditions. With high sensitivity for weak signal operation, performance is guaranteed in areas with limited sky view without affecting accuracy.
The AQ5101supports DGPS and multiple SBAS systems including WAAS and EGNOS. Fast startup is assured with the 16 channel receiver, 8192 search bins and the option of GPS aiding functionality. The low power consumption and 'Push to Fix' power saving mode make it suitable for battery-operated systems. It measures 25,4 x 25,4 mm and weighs under 5 g.
