Phoenix Passive Components' new SR37 surge resistor is composed of a multilayer metal film deposited on a high-quality ceramic body, having as main feature, the capability of handling high intensity electrical pulses (10 kV) of short lengths that are present in circuits with high initial currents as a result of capacitive discharges.
The RoHS compliant resistor is provided with a non-flammable blue coating, which protects it from climatic and mechanical agents and is also resistant to cleaning solvents.
The resistive values range from 200 Ω to 10 kΩ in 20% and 10% tolerances with a power of 0,5 W @ 70°C.
Voltage proof on insulation is 700 V while the temperature coefficient is 250 ppm/°C.
