Poynting Antennas has announced a new omni-directional antenna that complements its range of wireless LAN products.
This antenna is the latest offering in Poynting's range of WLAN products. It operates in the 2,4-2,5 GHz band and is vertically polarised. It has a gain of 8,5 dBi, offering the best performance for the lowest possible price, according to the company. It is a compact (50 cm in length) and lightweight. This solution is well suited for wireless LAN base stations and hotspots. Its durable design utilises a tapered fibreglass radome with white glossy finish, ensuring years of reliable operation in most environments.
The antenna comes with a N-type female connector and integrated stainless steel bracketry that allows for direct wall-mounting using the provided kit. A bracket kit that allows mast-mounting can be ordered with the product.
