Hittite Microwave has released two GaAs pHEMT MMIC Low Noise Amplifiers which are suitable for cellular/3G basestation and repeater applications. The HMC376LP3E and the HMC382LP3E are GaAs PHEMT MMIC low noise amplifiers which operate from 700 to 1000 MHz, and 1700 to 2200 MHz, respectively.
These new LNAs require little or no external matching, and are footprint/pinout compatible such that a single PCB design can be used to implement either part number. With noise figures as low as 0,6 dB, and up to +36 dBm of output IP3, the HMC376LP3E and the HMC382LP3E MMIC LNAs are suitable for front-end receivers, and repeaters in GSM/GPRS, CDMA, WCDMA, and TD-SCDMA applications.
These wide dynamic range LNAs are housed in RoHS-compliant 3 x 3 mm leadless QFN packages, operate from a single +5 V supply, and feature an externally adjustable supply current that enables the designer to tailor the power consumption and linearity performance for any application.
