AMIC Technology has released a next generation SDRAM chip. The A43L0616B is a new 1Mx16 SDRAM design which the company says offers an excellent density upgrade and a unique price/performance ratio. This new and smaller die-based 16 MB (1Mx16) SDRAM is produced in a new 0,14 μm trench technology, which delivers a very good performance versus power consumption. The A43L0616B is available as die and in TSOP packaging. These TSOP versions are already available: A43L0616BV-7F (143 MHz; 0-70°C); A43L0616BV-6F, (166 MHz; 0-
70°C); A43L0616BV-7UF, (143 MHz; -40-85°C). The A43L0616B has a typical voltage level for 3,3 V applications. Another version, suitable for voltages as low as 1,8 V, is due soon.
