Advantech's PCM-9380 and PCM-9386 are powerful 3,5" embedded SBCs with Intel Pentium M and Celeron M processors and are designed with Intel 855GME and Intel 852GM chipsets.
Combined with Advantech's new Module I/O (MIO) interface, the company says that they solve the need for powerful and flexible 3,5" SBCs requiring high resistance to vibration, and plenty of expansion possibilities. Advantech designed the open-pin definition MIO to be simple and versatile. It integrates the most popular bus signals together into a high-density 160-pin connector, offering many expansion possibilities.
The PCM-9380 is based on the powerful 2 GHz low power Intel Pentium M processor and uses Intel's 855GME and IC4H chipset. This chipset is specifically designed for embedded computing and delivers 400 MHz Front Side Bus speed and an optimised integrated graphics solution with a 32-bit 3D core. The PCM-9386 uses Celeron M 600 MHz CPU with 852GM chipset. This 600 MHz Celeron processor is a fanless solution especially designed for embedded applications.
The PCM-9380/86 support DDR memory up to 1 GB with ECC for improved reliability and data integrity. Other onboard features include VGA/LCD/LVDS connectors for dual independent displays and 1000Base-T Ethernet for Gigabit networking.
