AeroComm has enhanced its ZB2430 ′ZigBee Your Way′ transceiver line to feature best-in-class output power, receive sensitivity, and line-of-sight range (up to 4,8 km).
Furthermore, the company claims to offer the lowest cost ZigBee module on the market (the sub-$10 ZB2430-D), which is targeted at high volume, cost-sensitive, short-range applications where battery-powered communication is a must.
Based on the Texas Instruments 802.15.4 System-on-Chip and Z-Stack technology, ZB2430 targets secure, low power, mesh network applications and communicates in the 2,4GHz ISM band. Modules are offered as either coordinators and routers or end-devices. Network scan, auto-configuration, dynamic routing, discovery, and security enable the mesh network - delivering reliable redundancy, secure multicommunication nodes and long range performance. Embedded flash memory of 128 KB provides room for larger, more complex application profiles.
