Advantech says its PPC-S154T is a full-featured, flexible all-in-one panel PC that combines high performance computing in an ultra slim design that can be integrated into an interactive solution or operate as a standalone application.
It comes with an Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M CPU with Speedstep technology up to 2,2 GHz, and system memory that can support up to 1 GB DDR SDRAM. This provides ample power for demanding intensive multimedia applications.
The high brightness 15" XGA touch screen LCD is powered by the integrated Intel 845GV chipset with built in 3D support. According to Advantech, the PPC-S154T has all the features a system integrator needs for designing interactive industrial applications that range from factory automation systems and HMI terminals to Point Of Information and interactive kiosks that can operate in any environment.
Being 'UltraSlim' its profile is only 375 x 299 mm and 49 mm deep. This allows for flexible installation and occupies much less space than traditional panel PCs. Its VESA compliant design gives PPC-S154T the versatility to be wall mounted, swing-arm mounted, fixed on a desktop stand or in a custom housing. The analog resistive touch screen LCD can display 16,7M colours at 1024x768 resolution, has a 120° viewing angle, 200 cd/m² brightness.
The PPC-S154T has plenty of networking and expansion capabilities with four fast USB 2.0 ports with transmission rates up to 480 Mbps, two serial ports, one VGA and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller as standard. The built-in Type lll Mini PCI socket can support a Mini PCI 56 K modem, second Ethernet, wireless LAN card or Firewire IEEE 1394 to enhance networking capability. It also has a built-in internal CompactFlash Type ll socket for solid state disk storage and IrDA SIR1.0 infrared interface for wireless transmission. Other features include a CD-ROM, FDD, and internal audio speakers. Optional configurations include Gigabit Ethernet and DVD-ROM/CD-RW-Combo.
