Poynting Antennas recently added a low profile panel antenna to its range of specialised antennas. This antenna covers the 5,4-5,85 GHz frequency band, has a gain of 20 dBi with a VSWR of less than 2 over the band. It is supplied with an N-Type female connector.
The antenna has been designed to be waterproof and is said to be easy to install. It has a very low profile and is unobtrusive when mounted on a wall. It comes with a bracket for either wall or mast mounting.
This antenna is designed for both outdoor and indoor applications. For outdoor applications, it is suited to serving either medium to long range point-to-point WiFi communications links or as a medium range client antenna in a WISP. For indoor installations it serves well as an access point antenna to provide better coverage along corridors and inside larger buildings.
