AMIC has released a 64 MB SDRAM chip that operates over the extended temperature range -40 to +85°C. It has a clock frequency of 143 MHz and is claimed to be pin-compatible with all industry standard 4 M x 16 SDRAM suppliers. The synchronous design allows precise cycle control with the use of the system clock, with I/O transactions possible on every clock. A range of operating frequencies is supported, and programmable latency allows the same device to be used in a variety of applications. The operating voltage is 3,3 V and the device is available in a 54-pin TSOP package, with a 54-ball CSP (8 mm x 8 mm) package planned.
