Advantech's PCI-1601AU and PCI-1601BU, 2-port RS422/485 universal PCI communication cards support both 3,3 and 5 V signal systems, and with their 128-byte FIFO, they are suitable for multitasking environments. Both cards provide 16 kV ESD protection, while the surge-protected design of the PCI-1601BU shields the system from abrupt high voltages up to 2500 V d.c.
Up to four cards can be used in one system, for a total of eight ports. The cards are ideal for use in applications in manufacturing automation, building automation, facility management, environmental monitoring and traffic management systems.
All PCI serial communication cards are available for Microsoft Windows 98/2000/ME/XP, with full driver support. With Advantech's bundled ICOM Tools software, the user can test the PCI card's performance by analysing the port status and easily configure the communication parameters.
