The PCM-9377 from Advantech is an 87,5 mm power-efficient SBC (single board computer) with integrated VIA Mark CoreFusion processor that balances powerful computing with excellent power consumption.
This SBC not only answers the need for customers looking to protect their investment and support legacy applications, but it also offers a cost-effective upgrade path. The PCM-9377 is supported by Advantech's SUSI (secure and unified smart interface), which provides customers with a simple way to implement hardware system controls.
The PCM-9377 is designed for multipurpose embedded applications requiring small form factors, extensible features, and rich I/O capability, especially applications needing full legacy ISA support. It uses the VIA MARK CoreFusion processor with built-in Northbridge that reduces board real estate by up to 15%, in a single fanless chip design that offers integrated graphics with 3D support and dual simultaneous display capability. Other features include SODIMM support up to 512 MB of SDRAM, 10/100Base-T Ethernet, PC/104 and miniPCI III interfaces for expansion. Four USB 2.0 compliant ports and Compact Flash card for multi-OS support makes this SBC ideal for applications in transportation, in-vehicle and entry-level medical fields.
Advantech's SUSI (secure and unified smart interface) consists of a set of standardised, secure and unified drivers and an application programming interface (API) for quick implementation of hardware system controls. SUSI is fully compatible with Microsoft Visual Studio and saves customers the trouble and effort of having to configure the hardware from scratch. This allows customers to access the SBC's hardware functions such as Watchdog, GPIO, SMBus etc, from within different operating systems. The PCM-9377 was specially developed with Windows Embedded OS optimised drivers, tools and components to enhance Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 and XPe (SP2).
