Mean Well has introduced the new SD-500 series (500 W) enclosed type DC-DC converter to meet the growing demand for high wattage applications.
Featuring a 4:1 to 2:1 DC input range and 2000 V a.c. input/output isolation, these 500 W converters have two input ranges – 19 to 72 V for the L type and 72 to 144 V for the H type – and output levels of 12, 24 and 48 V to choose from. With built-in short circuit, overload, over-voltage, over-temperature and input polarity protection, these compact converters measuring 215 x 115 x 50 mm are suitable for general electrical engineering usage, automotive, and battery back-up applications with space constraints.
Other standard function includes output OK signal, remote ON/OFF control, and a remote sense function enabling many special end applications.
