SBC supports Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs

28 May 2008 Computer/Embedded Technology

Aaeon has released a full-size form factor single board computer (SBC) which is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo LGA 775/ Pentium D/Pentium 4 processors.

The FSB-868G-B utilises LGA 775 Pentium 4 CPUs with core frequencies up to 3,8 GHz, Pentium D up to 3,6 GHz and Core 2 Duo up to 2,66 GHz with the Front Side Bus (FSB) running from 533 to 1066 MHz.

The SBC supports dual channel DDRII 533/667 system memory up to 4 GB. The VGA controller integrates an Intel 945G chipset with core frequency up to 400 MHz and a GMA950 2D/3D graphics accelerator to provide high performance graphic processing.

In addition to its powerful computing engine, the FSB-868G-B is equipped with USB2.0 ports, one Mini-DIN PS/2 keyboard and mouse connector, one IrDA header and one standard Floppy Disk Drive. It also supports Ultra ATA 100, four SATA II and CompactFlash Type II storages. The SBC deploys two PCI-Express LAN control ICs in order to support two 10/100/1000Base-TX Ethernet ports for network connection.
