Integrated RF VNA and signal analyser

17 September 2008 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

The SH-361S Signal Hawk from Bird Technologies is a 1-port VNA (vector network analyser) covering the 325 MHz to 3,6 GHz range, as well as a spectrum analyser covering 100 kHz to 3,6 GHz. It features -42 dB directivity and a

-135 dBm noise floor. The VNA sweeps antennas (VSWR/return loss dB vs. frequency) and provides cable distance-to-fault. Also, the spectrum analyser measures and analyses intended and interfering signals.

With a large, full-colour high-resolution display, the unit is viewable both indoors and outdoors, and its menus, one-button setup and onboard help are intuitive and easy to use. The field replaceable battery holds 5,5 hours of charge. The unit proves its ruggedness, having been drop tested per military and European standards (1 metre per EN 61010-1). The analyser is capable of storing 300 traces internally, while the 1 GB USB drive is capable of storing 90 000 traces.

A broad range of applications includes cellular, DCS, 2G, 2G and 4G, CDMA, HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS, WiMAX, WLAN and many more.

Also available is a range of accessories including power meters, calibration tools, field strength antennas and attenuators.
