The Satelline-3AS(d) VHF radio modem from Satel features advanced software management functions, a frequency range and wide coverage.
A Satelline-3AS(d) VHF network consists of remotely adjustable modems operating in a polling mode. It is controlled through the Master Station by dedicated network management system (NMS) PC software. The NMS is compatible with most user protocols, making the network suitable for numerous applications. The software provides a powerful graphical tool for designing a radio network, which ensures that NMS radio modems receive and transfer only desired messages.
The unit is a half-duplex, high-speed radio modem with up-to-date hardware features and advanced software architecture. It operates in the 138–174 MHz and 218–238 MHz frequency bands with channel spacing of 12,5 kHz or 25 kHz and over-the-air data rates of 9600 bps and19200 bps, respectively.
The modem is compatible with RS232, -485 and -422 serial interfaces, with terminal data rates selectable between 1200 and 38400 bps. The carrier power level of the transmitter can be set between limits of 100 mW and 5 W. The heatsinked 5 W version is capable of a connection range up to tens of kilometres.
